Another chunky book, this time with the theme of Hearts and flowers. I wasn't really looking forward to doing this one, having committed myself, but enjoyed doing it in the end.
After a very long break, I couldn't resist the urge to make an arch. The subject this week is 'Little girls'
As I'm not feeling up to much, after the operation on my back, I decided to catch up a bit with my blog. It has been very neglected of late. The houses below were for a chunky book swap, and I really enjoyed doing them, so much so, I'm on the next round. They are basically a 4" x 4" square with the roof going up another 2". As you can see the subject varies, and these are only a few of them. I am totally unable to get away from putting birds on everything, and the next ones will be no different.
This is the flower page, for the nature book that Maureen, Jan, and myself are doing. we are on the last page now, and then they can be made into the books. They are A5 size, and will look great when they are finished.
These are some fabric ATCs for an Indian themed swap. Some of the fabrics and the elephant stamp on the left, one of my daughters brought back from India, so genuine materials. they fray like mad, but I enjoyed making them.
I am interested in all types of art and crafts, including altered art, ATCs, painting, and textural crafts, especially embroidery, and felting. I also like to combine paper and fabric in mixed media art. My passion at the moment is fabric books. I love gardening, when the British weather and my bad back allows. My gorgeous grandsons and granddaughter also lure me out of my studio, that is until they are old enough not to make a mess in there
