Gosh this was a difficult one, not only to portray but to link to Art journal Journey where the theme is Heavy Metal set by Valerie. I started off by making an outdoor scene with Distress inks and choosing a family of figures. It starts off with dad who is wearing a bronze telephone, then mum who has a hairstyle of metal cogs, then one of the young sons, The family bird comes next and he is also wearing a cog crown. the two eldest children are next and the the dog and the cat, who seems to have pinched the dogs bone. The other young son also wearing a cog crown is at the end. A very mixed bunch of slightly weird family members. As the dad said to one of his friends " our family is one tent away of a full blown circus"

What a super big layout you have there. We both thought along the same lines with "big families" as our theme but then I suppose with the quote we had little alternative. Love the different colours you have used and had to smile - you put the chubbier boy in odd shoes as I did. Telepathy working again for us! It happens so often.
