Not easy to fit a grandmother on an inch. For the stampbord one I drew a granny sitting in a chair knitting. For the sewn one a head was enough, and for this I stuffed some calico and made it 3D. The glasses are made from wire and the hair is a fancy thread.
Wow! These both rise to the challenge. Love them both but especially the stampbord version.
ReplyDeleteWow, you have managed again to get so much on your fantastic inchies. Love the one with just the head and the wire glasses.

ReplyDeletetwo excellent inchies - love the knitting nanny
ReplyDeleteWonderful inchies! You really went all in. Love it!
ReplyDeleteOne the things I remember about my Nanna was her glasses, black cat eyes with bifocal lenses. Haven't gotten there yet, but I'm close. To the bifocals, not the Nanna part. Love the work, Wendy! Have a brilliant day! Cheryl
ReplyDeleteBoth are great. I had the same idea with the granny sitting and knitting but I wasn't able to draw it. You made it very well.
ReplyDeleteShe's certainly a very glamorous grandma even with her glasses - they make her look kind but a no nonsense granny! Well done it's usually hard to make a face good looking - she's gorgeous and the one sitting knitting is brilliant too - I love her bag of wool - brilliant inchies Wendy
