Egg is the word that start's the new year off on Every Inchie Monday.
This year I am going to do my usual sewn inchie, and the mixed media one I am going to do on Stampbord. I have a lot of inch stampbords, and it's time I stopped hoarding them, and used them up. My stampbord egg has a nest of lichen and twigs, and the egg is shrink plastic. The sewn one is a fried egg, with the yolk stuffed with wadding and sewn on to a faux silk fabric for the egg white.

Two excellent eggs. I love the stampbord one and maybe next week's challenge will be bacon, to go with your stitched one. It looks very realistic.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! You are so lucky to have lots of stampbords. Would love to see what you do with them.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what stampboard is, but your inchies are impressive, both of them!
ReplyDeleteWonderful eggs on both of the inchies Wendy--you have a wonderful imagination for sure
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie x

What is stampbord? I've never heard of it. Is it a special type of paper? Or special stamps? I have inchie stamps, but hardly ever use them, as they are mostly cats! Love your inchies. The shrink plastic is brilliant and I love the fabric, especially the idea of stuffing it.
ReplyDeleteOops - keep forgetting to wish people Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteGreat inchies, love the sewn fried egg.
